Verizon

The Mission
A daily-use platform for 4,000+ field engineers, rebuilt for reliability and access
The Challenge
Verizon's field engineering and business operations teams needed a reliable internal platform, and deployments were happening ad hoc with no predictable cadence.
My Approach
I designed and maintained the internal B2B intranet platform used daily across the organization, and spearheaded RedZone, a system that embedded critical security and operational data directly into field engineers' workflows. I built Node.js microservices and a Kubernetes-based CI/CD pipeline that replaced the ad hoc deployment process with a predictable 60-day release cycle. I also applied ADA/WCAG standards while guiding legacy migrations into one unified, accessible dashboard, and mentored two rotating four-person teams over two years.
The Result
- Platform used daily by 4,000+ employees
- Predictable 60-day release cycle, replacing ad hoc deployments
- Unified, ADA/WCAG-compliant dashboard from multiple legacy systems
- Mentored 8+ engineers across two rotating teams over two years
- REDZONE saves lives of field agents by providing them safety in dangerous areas
